Who we are
AutomateEdge is a trading name of Kyan Sukhram, sole trader, Woking, Surrey. We are the controller of the information described here. Contact: kyan@automateedge.ai.
We help local IT support firms meet businesses that could use their help. When we contact you, we name the IT firm we're working with.
What we use
- Business details: company name, address, size, and the business email address and phone number published on your website.
- A named person's work contact details, only where your own website lists them.
- Public technical information about your business email and website, such as DNS records (for example SPF and DMARC). We never access your systems.
- Anything you tell us in a reply.
Where it comes from
Public sources: your website, Companies House, professional registers, and public DNS records.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To offer your business a free IT and email security check with a local IT firm, and to arrange it if you say yes. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: telling businesses about a relevant, free service, in a way they would reasonably expect. We only send business emails to company and LLP addresses, and every email lets you opt out.
Who we share it with
- The IT firm named in our email, and only if you agree to a meeting (or ask us to pass on a question).
- Our service providers: Google Workspace (email and calendar) and FormSubmit (our website form).
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
Up to 12 months from our last contact, then we delete it. If you opt out, we keep only your business name and email address on a do-not-contact list, so we never contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to stop contacting you (just reply "no thanks"), to see the information we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. Email kyan@automateedge.ai. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
